Take cleansing breaths in the aroma- and Brechel bath, a rustic sauna with a tiled heater. The Sanarium offers you pure relaxation. And when it is time to recharge your batteries, the heat benches and hay-burning tiled stove await.
The “Primal Ocean” is a true treat for body and soul - an outdoor pool filled with warm salt water. Float in the salty water and experience the invigorating effects of water jets, bubbling waters, neck shower, geysers and bubble seats.
In the quiet- and meditation rooms, you will quickly begin to daydream as you gaze on those fantastic mountain vistas. And the bar will be glad to look after you whenever you are in the mood for a refreshing drink or a small snack.

Active Wellness in Ruhpolding

Whether you are looking to unwind, build up your conditioning or top up your energy reserves, we are able to offer you the best setting and the perfect programs.
Active Wellness is the feel-good and sports program for Ruhpolding’s guests. From Monday through Friday, holiday-makers have the opportunity, under the direction of expert coaches, to spend one or two hours daily doing something for themselves and their bodies.
The choices range from Nordic Walking, aquacise and Qi Gong, to concentration exercises developed to aid biathlon athletes in shooting. Active Wellness is aimed at all our guests, sporty or not, young or somewhat older - alone, with a partner, or with the whole family. Standing squarely at the forefront is the joy of exercise and the opportunity to experience your body in a totally new way.
Guests of partner hotels can participate in the Active Wellness program at no charge. Guests staying at all other lodging establishments have the option of purchasing a participation ticket from the tourist information centre for € 10

“Surf’s up!” - That was always the trademark phrase of Germany’s first wave pool. But now, with remodelling successfully completed, the facility is able to cater to the visitor’s every wish.
The inimitable “Wave” is an integral part of the “Vita Alpina”, which has now been expanded to include its very own “Primal Ocean”, a 175m² open-air pool filled with salt water (33°C). A true treat for body and soul with water jets, bubbling waters, neck showers, geysers and bubble seats.
There’s a lot in store for the “little dudes” as well. They can have all kinds of fun at a variety of aquatic play areas and zoom down the giant slide - with its fascinating water and lighting effects - to their hearts’ content.
The new sauna facility at the “Vita Alpina” is a wellness oasis beyond compare, offering visitors unimagined opportunities to enhance their wellbeing: Relax in the steam- and Finnish sauna, take deep cleansing breaths in the aroma- and Brechel bath, our rustic stone sauna, unwind in the Sanarium, or recharge your batteries on the heat benches or next to the hay-fired tiled stove.

Outdoor Pool
The spaciously designed outdoor pool is located directly next to the Vita Alpina Wellness & Adventure Pool and the ice rink.
A big 50 m lap pool, a non-swimmers pool with a small slide, and a children’s play pool with fountain - all awaiting everyone who loves fun in and around the water. Opportunity to jump off 2 one-metre, 2 two-metre and 1 five-metre towers, plus fun-filled excitement on a 76-metre adventure slide with great water and lighting effects.
Aside from sun loungers and sun umbrellas (which are available for rent), the spacious sunbathing area also offers all kinds of opportunities for the kids to enjoy fun and games: a sand box, merry-go-round and a small slide. In addition to drinks, ice cream and candies, our kiosk also serves up small hot dishes. Enjoy a beach-volleyball or table-tennis match and get that workout you’ve been looking for!
